What a night 'twas :')

It was a dark, yet beautiful night.. There was total blackout.. Yes! This is about the aftermath of the dreaded VARDAH, which once again showed the chennaiites that "one for all and all for one" is the thing that gets us going! But amidst all the destruction, there was something which brought a meek smile.. It was about 9pm when we realized that the inverter was out of power and we actually had to spend the night without a single streak of light.. (though there were many who had been spending sleepless nights for the past 3 days)
We finally decided to give a visit to our terrace, which we frequented when we were kids..  but now, with all those handheld gizmos we had forgotten how much fun we used to have to visit that place above our ceiling! We were using a small battery powered torch light which we decided to switch off due to the natural star light. YES! Chennai sky was starlit! We were as surprised as you are.
We had quite some fun, when my siblings decided to go downstairs.. I decided to stay with mom and dad. We were to sleep there. Slowly and gradually they both dozed off. There was something which prevented sleep to caress me. The sky, the stars, the moon.. I knew they existed, but never experienced such an allure. Their magnetism beguiled me, in fact it seemed that I wasn’t the first to be hypnotized by the triplet. The clouds wiped the dirt away to make the stars clearly perceptible. The wind danced to the tunes composed by the triplet.. the moon using its baton directed the musical ensemble of the sky and the twinkling stars.
Insomniac yet enchanted.. I was able to identify Ursa minor (I guess :P).. And named my own constellations.. There was this triplet of stars which caught my attention! They seemed to move together, twinkle with the same amount of joy and none's brightness overpowered the others'. They seemed to be inseparable, this relationship I wish to have with my friends.. I wish to make my own constellation which people would remember. A constellation which would shine bright in the sky forever❤. Totally tantalized with a mysterious desire to experience such a night just twice in a lifetime.. now and forever. I truly wish that everyone experiences such an intriguing night which could captivate their mind.

  1. And the sky I too remember, was the most beautiful that day.
Perhaps we would never have noticed it if we had "lights" inside our houses. Thanks vardha for giving a visit ....but do not come again :P
