What a night 'twas :')
It was a dark, yet beautiful night.. There was total blackout.. Yes! This is about the aftermath of the dreaded VARDAH, which once again showed the chennaiites that "one for all and all for one" is the thing that gets us going! But amidst all the destruction, there was something which brought a meek smile.. It was about 9pm when we realized that the inverter was out of power and we actually had to spend the night without a single streak of light.. (though there were many who had been spending sleepless nights for the past 3 days) We finally decided to give a visit to our terrace, which we frequented when we were kids.. but now, with all those handheld gizmos we had forgotten how much fun we used to have to visit that place above our ceiling! We were using a small battery powered torch light which we decided to switch off due to the natural star light. YES! Chennai sky was starlit! We were as surprised as you are.
